Arrive at the Macdonald Marine Hotel & Spa on Sunday 30th of December, where the warmest welcome awaits you, your family and friends. Settle in with a traditional Scottish afternoon tea served in front of a roaring log fire.
The evening begins with canapés at your leisure, followed by dinner in our Craigleith Restaurant from a luxurious menu offering a selection of dishes prepared with the freshest and finest local ingredients.
New
Year's Eve Monday 31st December 2007
On the 31st of December our Concierge will be on hand to assist you with your days activities, perhaps a shopping and sightseeing trip to nearby Edinburgh, or a refreshing coastal walk along the beach or even an energizing hike up North Berwick Law. For those of you who wish to relax in the hotel, our award winning Vital Leisure & Spa offers a wide variety of treatments from Decleor Facials and Hot Stone therapies. Movies will be showing in the Drawing Room and a selection of board games, newspapers and books will be available in the Library.
The Hogmanay Gala Ball begins in the evening with a champagne reception in the Lounge. Our piper will then pipe you into the Bass Rock Suite where you will enjoy a five course gourmet dinner, offering the finest local produce from East Lothian. After dinner our Cealidh Band will offer you some traditional Scottish dancing, followed by our piper who will see you into the New Year.
New Year's Day Tuesday 1st January 2008
On New Year's Day a late brunch will be served until noon. For those feeling a little under the weather, your hosts will have a range of tonics and potions to help!
For those of you staying with us for three nights, cocktails will be served in the lounge before enjoying dinner at your leisure in the Craigleith Restaurant.

We welcome children over the New Year period however please note children are not permitted to attend the Hogmanay Gala Ball. Please contact our Events team to enquire about rates for children over this period.

By Road From A1 (Southbound)
From the A1, take the A198 (signposted North Berwick), once in North Berwick, take a left at the traffic lights, then second right onto Cromwell Road. From A1 (Northbound)
Follow the A1 (Northbound) and at the junction with the A198 turn right onto the A198. Follow the A198 for approximately 7.5 miles and take the second exit at Dunbar Road roundabout onto the A198 (Dunbar Road). Continue along Dunbar Road and take the third left turn to remain on the A198 (St. Baldreds Road). At the T-Junction with the B1346 and the A198 continue straight ahead onto York Road which changes to Cromwell Road. We are located on the right hand side of Cromwell Road

North Berwick train station is approximately 5 minutes walk.
By Air
Edinburgh Airport is approximately 50 minutes drive.
